Allami RATIBA was born on 19 April 1938 in Blida, the daughter of M’hamed and Djeddaoui Aïcha.She completed her primary studies at the Orange School and lived in Bab El Khouikha.
She began her revolutionary work as a fedayee. Among the operations she took part in was one carried out in the town of Mouzaïa, Blida Province, which resulted in the elimination of a policeman. She later joined the National Liberation Army in 1956, taking the revolutionary name “Najiya.”
In 1959, a fierce battle broke out with colonial forces in Chenbelane, El Ammaria, on the outskirts of Médéa. The battle ended with the martyrdom of the young heroine, Allami Ratiba, at only twenty years of age.
