Blida Synagogue, inaugurated in 1863 near the Ben Saadoun mosque, reflects the coexistence that once shaped the city. Rabbis James Sarfati and Bernard Aouizerate led the community, while Rabbi Tammam, blind from birth, taught Talmud Torah alongside Rabbi Sarfati. Charles Dahan and later Ghozlan, a postal officer in Blida, served as presidents. After independence, Roger Said maintained the synagogue until his departure for France. Today part of the building is used as housing and the remainder stands abandoned.
