Braham Brakni, born on 19 January 1931 in Blida, Algeria, and fallen in 1957 in Menaceur (Tipaza), was an Algerian football striker and martyr. Known for his sharp attacking instinct and determination on the field, he remains a symbolic figure for his club, whose stadium proudly carries the name of the Brakni brothers, a historic stronghold of USMB.
Brakni made his first appearance for the USMB first team on 25 September 1949 in a Division d’Honneur match against Racing Universitaire d’Alger. His dynamic style of play quickly drew attention, marking him as one of the most promising attackers of his generation.
On 26 November 1950, he scored his first goal for the green-and-white squad during a Division d’Honneur encounter with Gallia Sport d’Alger, confirming his rising influence and growing importance within the team.
