Mustapha Tchaker

Mustapha Tchaker was born on 10 March 1936 to Ahmed and Boufredi Nafissa. He grew up in a well-off but conservative family, firmly rooted in Islamic principles, in the Akba Al Hamra neighborhood of Blida.

He was among the athletes who joined the Blida Islamic Sports Union. In 1955, he answered the call of the Revolution and joined the National Liberation Army in Wilaya IV at the age of 19, serving as the officer responsible for the second sector.

He fought alongside his fellow revolutionaries against the oppressive colonial forces until he stood in the field of honor in 1959. In tribute to his courage and heroism, the Mostafa Tchaker Stadium was named in his honor.
